Member Guest 2006 September 28-30

The MGA and the Member Guest Committee is very proud to announce some early details of the 2006 event. The golf format will be the same with a 2 day event, including 5- nine hole matches with winners of each flight playing in a shoot out to determine the overall champion.

Two major changes with the event in 2006. One change was moving the tournament from early August to September. This was done not only to escape the heat during the day but night as well so we can make sure that our guests and significant others enjoy the evenings as well.

The other major change is moving the tournament up one day from Saturday to Friday. We really want Saturday's evenings Champions Gala to be a special event. We can do this by ending the tournament on Saturday which also allows our guests use Sunday as a travel day. In 2006, practice round and festivities will begin on Thursday.

Here is a quick look at the some of the events planned for the weekend:

Thursday 9/28- Practice Rounds, New Putting Contest & Format, Men's Night out Sponsored by Jim Beam Brands

Friday 9/29- 27 Holes of Tournmant play, Friday Night Couples Casino Night with Martini Bar sponsored by Absolut Vodka

Saturday 9/30- 18 Holes of Tournament play, Player's Wives Social, Shootout, Champions Gala Event with entertainment.

Official letters and entry forms this year will be email out and available starting on June 30, 2006. We will only be accepting 54 teams in 2006 so early entry is suggested.

We can still use volunteers(wives welcomed!) to help out with parts of the tournament so we can make this tournmant the showcase event of the year! Please contact Tim Seaton(tim.seaton@vitasoy-usa.com) via email to help out.

The committee is also sending out the sponsorship packages to all MGA members. We ask all members to help out in securing sponsors to support this years event.

The goal of this year's MGA board and the Member Guest Committee is to make this the best event in every aspect from plate to green! Come and Join us! They will be talking about this event for months!
