Bigger and Better Than Ever! 2006 Member Guest Tournament

Dear Lake Chesdin MGA Members,

I am pleased to invite you and your guest to the 2006 Lake Chesdin MGA Member Guest tournament on September 28-30, 2006, with title sponsorship provided by Drywall Specialist, Inc. The committee’s main goal this year is to make this the showcase event at the club in 2006! Great golf, great food, and above all, GREAT FUN!

The golf tournament format will once again be Team Best Ball Net with each team playing five nine hole matches with teams within their flight. The team with the most points within their flight will then advance to a three-hole shoot out with other flight winners to determine the Member Guest 2006 champions. There will a Hole in One prize on each of the par 3s for the first 18 holes on Friday and Saturdays 18 holes. Prizes include a Trip to 2 to the Masters, $10,000 in Cash, Golf trip for two to Spain, and more!

This year we will have as much fun at night as we will during the day! Here is a taste of what will be going on each evening starting on Thursday night.

Thursday Night (September 28) Sponsored by Jim Beam Brands
Men’s night out. Teams along with major sponsors will enjoy an evening of bonding and tournament preparation.
New Putting Contest! A course of 5 holes will be created to test your blade skills.
Music supplied by Marty “Wolfman” Clift!
Raffle for one 50-foot putt worth $5000 and one 165 yards shot on 18 Saturday night for a chance at holing out for $250,000!

Friday Night (September 29) Sponsored by Absolut Vodka
Bring your partner along with your spouse(s) or significant other(s) to the Absolut martini night.
When you think martinis, the James Bond line comes to mind (“Shaken, not stirred”), and Mr. Bond can always be found at the casino. We will have black jack tables, craps, roulette, and Texas Holdem for your “entertainment value.” Just make sure you have a few chips left at the end of the evening! We will an auction following the gaming.

Saturday Night (September 30) Championship Gala
This year we will have a Saturday night to remember with awards presentations for the three days to be following with DJ music and dancing by the 18th hole.

Even though we are in the process of securing more sponsors for this year’s event, I am pleased to announce some of our early sponsors. They are Dry Wall Specialist, Inc, American Family Fitness, Beringer Builders, Riverside Brick, Cavalier Telephone, Matco Tools, Killar Dentistry, Mike Pollard, Mike Sydney, Lucky 13 Tattoos, and Landen Strapping.

The cost of this year’s event is $550 per team. The entry fee is one thing that did not change this year. This includes practice and playing rounds, continental breakfast on Friday and Saturday mornings, heavy appetizers on Thursday, heavy appetizers for players and dates on Friday night, and dinner for players and dates on Saturday night. Each team player will also receive a tournament appreciation gift upon registration on Thursday. We are very pleased to announce that this year’s gift will be a pair Adidas Tour 360 Golf Shoes (SRP $179.00) with shoe bag.

Attached is the registration form for you and your guest. There are only two ways to register for your team in 2006. They are as follows:

Paying with check. Checks are to be made payable to “Lake Chesdin Golf Club” and submitted with completed registration form and dropped off to the pro shop by Sept. 8th, 2006.
Billing directly to your account. Complete the registration form and email directly to twhite@clublink.ca. Tim White will send you a confirmation upon receiving your registration. If you do not receive a confirmation from Tim White in 72 hours, please contact him at 804-590-0031. By emailing the form, you are authorizing the charge to the account and entering the event.

IMPORTANT: No registering by phone. No team is considered registered until registration form and payment is received. When the 54 teams have registered, the field will be considered complete and will have an alternate list of 3 teams.

Cancellation Policy: Any paid team may cancel before 9/8/2006 without penalty and entry fee will be credited/returned. Any cancellation after 9/8/2006 will only be refunded if there is an alternate team to make the field whole again.
