Member Member This Weekend-April 20-21 and Member Guest 2007 Preview

For those MGA members that have signed up for this weekend tournament, we will have the calcutta along with heavy appetizers and beer starting at the club around 5:30 pm. If you and your partner want to have a practice round together, please sign up with the Friday group at the pro shop.

We look forward to fun 3 days of golf as we start the first leg of the MGA Slam-( Member Member, Member Guest, Club Championship, and Member Member II).

As advance notice, we will shortly send out details on the Member Guest tournament slated for the weekend of June 7-9. We will only be fielding 54 teams again this year and based on last years tournament, we expect a sellout. We will have a one day registration at the club, on Saturday May 12 from 8:00 am to 12:00. First 54 teams & one alternate will complete the field. If you do not sign up on Saturday, you will not be guaranteed a playing position. Tim and Shane will not be involved in any part of the process, since this is a MGA event. We will notify the MGA via email on Sunday May 13 how many team spots are available if any. After Saturday's sign up, all registration forms will have to be sent or physically delivered to my address below. No phone calls, emails or faxes will be accepted.

I know I sound like a hard #$%$ but we have to eliminate some of the potential issues that involved some of our members last year with this event. I am asking for your help and assistance in this tournament and all tournaments in the future by registering by the deadlines. In order for us to put on a quality event and deliver a quality product for you, signing up by the deadlines is very critical. In the future, no more excuses, no more stories will be accepted if you do not register by the deadline. Please consider the Member Guest 2007 as the start of this new direction.

We have planned another stellar event for this year's Member Guest and look forward to awesome course conditions and great temps with the early June play.
